old Airstream

The Airstream trailer has made quite the comeback in recent years, with many of them being bought by people who wanted to restore them to their former glory and live in them permanently. One such person, who goes by Doll on Instagram, recently got a vintage Airstream and brought it back to life with the help of her husband and some good friends.

Shreveport to New Orleans

We’ve been on the road for almost two months now, and it’s been amazing. We’ve seen so many different parts of the country and met so many interesting people. But now, it’s time to settle down for a while. We’re headed to New Orleans, where we’ll be staying for the next few months. I’m really excited to explore this great city, one that I had never visited before. It looks like it has everything you could ever want: art, music, food–I can’t wait!

Where to keep the old beauty?

When my husband and I decided to take the plunge and buy an old Airstream, we had no idea where to keep her. We live in New Orleans, so finding a place to store her wasn’t easy. But we finally found the perfect spot. Our Airstream is now parked in a covered storage facility just outside of the city. It’s the perfect location for us, and we couldn’t be happier.

The company offers enclosed spaces with 24-hour security that are accessible only by a card key. The monthly fee is low enough that it will fit into our budget, and they even offer periodic discounts if you sign up for multiple months at once. Plus there are plenty of other benefits too: free cable TV, Wi-Fi, vending machines on site and occasional concerts thrown by the local arts council.

How to make a vintage trailer into an amazing home?

After purchasing a vintage trailer, the first step is to gut it and start from scratch. This will help you create a blank slate to work with. Next, add in any necessary plumbing and electrical work. Once that is complete, you can begin working on the interior design.

When choosing materials and furnishings, keep in mind that less is more in a small space. Opt for pieces that are both functional and stylish. Finally, don’t forget to personalize your space with items that reflect your unique taste. You’ll be living in this tiny home so make sure to surround yourself with things that make you happy!

The little details that matter so much

When we spotted this vintage Airstream in a field near New Orleans, we knew we had to have it. The inside was musty and dated, but with some elbow grease and TLC, we turned it into the perfect travel trailer. We love all the little details that make this Airstream unique, from the curved walls to the retro appliances.

With its new home in New Orleans, this Airstream is sure to bring us many happy memories. The stainless steel fixtures give it a rustic feel while still providing modern conveniences like satellite TV and Bluetooth music streaming. I can’t wait for my first crawfish boil on the front porch of our cozy Airstream home! The aluminum exterior provides protection from the hot Louisiana sun while also being lightweight enough to be towed by just about any vehicle.

The interior is well-ventilated so there’s never any uncomfortable humidity or dampness.

We’ve created an oasis right in the heart of New Orleans where we’ll sip cocktails poolside, cook dinner at sunset, and spend countless nights under the stars together.
